Let’s Play 2023

A new golf season always bring excitement and anticipation to play and shoot our career best round. That hole in one is always a possibility at every par 3. The Masters tournament is my usual trigger to start itching to play as the weather starts warming up in Michigan. Heck, I even set my alarm tone to the famous Masters soothing theme music. It’s definitely a special blessing for us golfers to know and love the great game. It truly is a microcosm of life. We are rewarded for the efforts we put in. Just when we are sure we mastered it, humble pie is just waiting around the corner. The crushing feeling of a triple bogey can feel so defeating but then a birdie on the next hole reinvigorate and remind us what a great game golf is again. It’s a guarantee all golfers go through this gamut of emotions whether as a beginner or scratch. None of us ever graduate from the college of golf, we get to hang out with other “student” golfers for a lifetime of learning, cussing and laughter.

That’s why when Spring arrives and the Masters Tournament music starts playing, we walk with extra pep and a brighter gleam in our eyes. It’s a blessing to know and enjoy this game. I wish everyone an enjoyable season and make sure to let me know about your hole in one because I am coming for my drink :)
